Sleep

While sleeping is an essential function for our body, millions of Americans don't get the recommended 7-9 hours a night.  When you aren't getting enough sleep it causes an increase in irritability, mood swings, anxiety, depression, other mental health problems, headaches, weight gain, and poor vision.  Below are a few ways to help you get back to having a good nights sleep.

Whole Body Cryotherapy causes your body to produces hormones that are good for sleep and relaxation.  The cold causes your body to release the endorphin norepinephrine.  This effects your sleep-wake cycle and helps you to feel relaxed.  This results in a better nights sleep.  The cold also reduces inflammation and pain which can directly impact your quality of sleep.

The Infrared Sauna helps you to get a better nights sleep.  When you are in the sauna, it raises your body temperature.  When you leave the sauna, your body temperature drops fast.  Your body associates this decrease in temperature with sleep, which leaves your body primed for sleep.  Also the sauna loosens your muscles and provides pain relief, which further affects your sleep.

Red light therapy is a natural way to stimulate your body's production of melatonin.  As darkness falls, your body naturally releases more melatonin.  Red light is a great way to aide your body in this process.  Another study found that red light therapy helps prevent the groggy feeling that lingers after you wake up in the morning.

The deep relaxation and pain relief that are achieved with the Dry Float bed are great as a mid day rest.  It is said that a 60 minute float equals 3-4 hours of sleep time.  Also, the deep relaxation will help you fall asleep at night and reach deep sleep patterns.
